ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead

New ingame footage introducing the FLIR, flashlight and pointer features has just been released on the Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead website.

ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead

From night vision goggles to weapon-mounted flashlights, the teaser discloses the realistic features of Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead's new additions and includes a detailed looks at its revolutionary thermal imaging simulation, which sets a new standard of accuracy for FLIR implementations in tactical games. The depth of Bohemia's attention to creating an impeccably detailed simulation is underlined by the inclusion of realistic restrictions on certain weapon scopes when used in conjection with night vision equipment, the visibility of infra-red beams and beacons with night vision and FLIR equipment and even realistic behaviour of weapon-mounted flashlights, both in terms of movement and visibility to the enemy.

Set in the new, visually attractive environment of rugged Central Asia, Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead will offer a realistic combat simulation experience in a modern day setting with unprecedented freedom of movement, actions and tactics. Players will enlist into various roles within the US Army, from basic infantryman through to special operative, to pilots and tank crew equipped with hi-end military equipment such a thermal imaging and directly controlled UAVs, in this new installment in the award winning line of military simulators for PC from Bohemia Interactive.

Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead will be released exclusively for PC on 29th June 2010. Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead doesn't require the original Arma 2, but will upgrade it with the latest features and improvements, and integrates all content into one massive military library for the ultimate combat experience.
