Arma 3 Creator DLC: Spearhead 1944 Update 1.1
Together with third-party developer Heavy Ordnance Works,we are excited to announce today's release of a major update to Arma 3 Creator DLC: Spearhead 1944!
This updatedeploys players to Mortain during Operation Lüttich (August 7-13, 1944), a major German counterattack during the Battle of Normandy. This new 64 km² terrain features new unique objects and iconic landmarks such as the Mortain Church, Cambremont mine, and L'Abbaye Blanche. Here, players can take part in two new cooperative scenarios designed for up to 6 players. This update includes new weapons and vehicles (including variants), clothing and gear variants, playable factions, immersive German and French radio protocols, and much more.
Arma 3 Creator DLC: Spearhead 1944 is available now on Steam for $17.99 USD (€17.99EUR / £14.99 GBP). The CDLC is currently available with a 20% discount (price with discount: $14.39 USD / €14.39 EUR / £11.99 GBP) until August 8.

Why is Creator DLC optional to install?We have decided to make it optional to have the Creator DLC data installed. This is mainly to avoid regular Arma 3 installations from requiring a lot more additional hard-drive storage, even for those who have not purchased Creator DLC. The second reason is that a Creator DLC's theme or setting might be very different from regular Arma 3 and not everyone might want it to be visible in their game.
How do I launch Spearhead 1944?You will need to visit the DLC section in the Arma 3 Launcher, make sure Spearhead 1944 is owned and loaded, then launch the game by clicking the PLAY button.
Can I still play together with people who do not own the DLC in multiplayer?To enable non-owners to still play on multiplayer servers that make use of Spearhead 1944 content, Heavy Ordnance Works has published a "compatibility data for non-owners" via the Steam Workshop. Be aware that access to the DLC's premium Normandy and Mortain terrains, campaign, as well as single-player and co-op scenarios remain exclusive to owners of the DLC. Restrictions to the use of non-owned content also apply.
