Bohemia Interactive has released a new update for the Arma 3 Alpha. Aside a wide number of tweaks and optimizations, version 0.54 of the Arma 3 Alpha implements a new fog technology, adjustable sidearm stances and further stability fixes.

Alongside the planned release of Arma 3 this year, Bohemia Interactive will also dive into the realm of mobile games with the turn-based close-combat strategy game, Arma Tactics. A new video update offers an early glimpse of Arma Tactics’ open gameplay, high-fidelity graphics and Tegra 4 enhancements – the multicore processor powering NVIDIA’s Project SHIELD.

In support of the popular Arma 3 Alpha and Arma 3 Alpha Lite, Bohemia Interactive has released a brand new episode in their official Community Guide video series. This second video takes a closer look at infantry combat – providing insights on the principles of situational awareness, positioning, enemy contact and shooting.

While the Arma 3 Alpha leads Steam’s Top Sellers chart since launch, Bohemia Interactive today also made a free invite-only variant available.

The Arma 3 Alpha Lite is a limited version of the Arma 3 Alpha – providing people with the opportunity to try out the singleplayer showcase missions, a selection of weapons and vehicles, and the scenario editor.
