Our Amsterdam development studio has been a part of the Bohemia family for a bit more than two years. We are now looking to expand the small local team with a talented Gameplay Designer. You would work together with the rest of the design unit, as well as passionate devs from other disciplines. Together you would directly contribute to our future projects in order to deliver the most fun, interesting, and rewarding experiences for players.   • Conceptualization: researching, gathering references, and experimenting with gameplay ideas
  • Analyses: defining precise specifications of sandbox assets and describing use / test cases for gameplay mechanics
  • Prototyping: rapidly trying gameplay mechanics / features / systems in a playable form
  • Scripting: technical implementation of gameplay in efficient, robust, and optimized ways
  • Communication: cooperating with other departments for support, discussing design topics, and processing feedback from players
  • Pipelines: preparing features and mechanics for our games and the underlying proprietary engines
  • Evaluation: inspecting your work in-game, tweaking and iterating, and enjoying the results!


  • Routine game scripting (or programming) skills in languages like SQF, Python, C#, or similar
  • Quickly able to learn new tools, methods and pipelines
  • Adept at interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Experience with game development
  • Good written and spoken English
  • Strong focus on quality, precision, consistency, and details
  • Calm, practical, proactive, and self-motivating in a highly dynamic environment
  • Able to operate autonomously and to make responsible decisions about time management and priorities
  • A willingness to work in Amsterdam, The Netherlands


  • Experience with Arma (3) / Real Virtuality engine and the relevant tools / scripting language
  • Experience with Unity / Unreal Engine or other popular game engines
  • Experience with Finite State Machines
  • Experience with User Experience / User Interface design
  • Experience with Atlassian information systems (Confluence / JIRA)
  • Experience with bug reporting platforms
  • Experience with versioning and revision control systems (e.g. SVN)
  • Experience with working in teams, across multiple locations
  • Experience in an international company
  • A passion for games and game development
  • Game programming skills
  • Game debugging and technical profiling skills
  • An understanding of the full game development cycle and iterative development methodologies
