Frequently asked questions
Please try to do the following:
1. Exit Steam.
2. Go into the Steam installation folder and find the folder called "appcache".
3. Delete the "appinfo.vdf" and "packageinfo.vdf" files.
4. Right-click on Steam icon.
5. Left-click on "Run As Administrator".
6. Right-click on the game in Steam Library.
7. Click on "Properties".
8. Select "Local files" tab and click on "Verify integrity of game cache files" button.
9. Please wait, the process can take several minutes.
As stated in the EULA, Arma 3 is being licensed for non-commercial purposes only. This means that in general, making money from Arma 3, beyond accepting voluntary donations without any counter-value, is not allowed. However, there’s a few exceptions where we have allowed monetization. You can find more information about each of them in the links bellow:

Please start the game and click on the "CONFIGURE".
Now select the "GAME".
Open the drop down menu next to the "LANGUAGE", select the desired language and click on the "OK" button to confirm your choice.

The digital extras, such as the soundtrack, maps and tactical guide, will be downloaded to your Steam installation directory for Arma 3, in the Bonus sub-folder.

This is the same for people who bought Arma 3 from Store.bistudio.com, directly on Steam, or selected Deluxe retail editions. Note: further tracks may be added to the soundtrack together with the campaign episodes.

Please right click the game in your Steam library.
Select "Properties" and go to the "BETAS" window.
Select "development" branch of the game from the drop down menu.
Close the window and let the game update.
You can do the same if you want to switch the game back to the stable branch, just select "NONE" instead of "development" and let the game update.
To get Arma 3 Tools, open your Steam client, click on LIBRARY and switch to TOOLS. Here you can find all game tools provided by Steam.
The banning system is administrated by Battleye, we have absolutely no involvement in the process of detecting cheats/hacks nor administrating any bans etc. We would suggest you to contact Battleye directly.
You are still able to play on non-battleye protected servers. In order to do that, please open your in-game server browser, click on the filters and switch "Battleye required" from "Default" to "No".
Try to configure your in-game video options to match your hardware setup (use auto-detect as a basis). It is also recommended to install the latest graphics hardware drivers for your graphics card(s). Should you not be using SSD storage devices, consider defragmenting your drive(s). Finally, use the Steam client to verify the game data integrity automatically.

For greater protection from cheaters, consider finding servers that use the integrated BattlEye anti-cheat engine. Server administrators have control over various anti-cheat measures. Use the server browser filter to find these servers.

This may be caused by several things. You may be running a different game version (e.g. servers on the experimental development branch), or servers may require the use of certain (user-generated) add-ons and mods. Finally, there may be connection problems between you and the server due to firewalls or other obstacles along the way.
