Personal Data Policy - Careers

1. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) we, BOHEMIA INTERACTIVE a.s., ID No: 272 18 864, having its registered office at Stříbrná Lhota 747, 252 10 Mníšek pod Brdy, Czech Republic, as the data controller (the “controller”), hereby inform you on how we process your personal data you provide us via your application for a position in our company.

2. We process personal data in your application (including your CV and cover letter) based on our legitimate interest to choose the most suitable candidates. We process such personal data mainly for purposes of proper selection of candidates for our vacant positions. For the same purpose, we may also process your personal data from public sources, such as public profiles on professional networking sites or online portfolios. Contact information you submitted in your application (including your name, email address, and phone number) is also processed for purposes of communicating with you.

3. We also process personal data in your application for purposes of negotiations with you and other steps prior to the eventual entering into a contract, to the extent necessary for such negotiations and steps. Due to the large number of applications, in addition to manual processing of personal data, we also use automated means designed to organize applications and assign them to advertised positions in order to ease the steps necessary to conclude a contract with the data subject. This automated processing is subject to human oversight and never replaces human decision-making.

4. If you give us consent, we also process personal data in your application for the purposes of keeping record of job applicants for offering eventual job opportunities to such applicants in the future. In this case we will keep your personal data for 2 years from the date such consent was given.

5. Your consent may be withdrawn at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

6. If you do not give us a consent according to Sec. 4 or withdraw your consent according to Sec. 5. of this policy, we will process and keep your personal information only during the process of evaluation of the most suitable candidate for the position you applied for, and we will not continue to process your personal data after the selection process is closed.

7. According to GDPR you have the following rights: right to request from the controller an access to and rectification or erasure of your personal data, right to restriction of processing of your personal data and right to portability of your personal data.

8. In addition to the above rights, under the GDPR you also have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data, which is based on the controller’s legitimate interest.

9. If you feel your personal data is not processed in compliance with GDPR, you also have the right to lodge a complaint to the supervisory authority in the country where you live, work or where the infringement of rights took place. In the Czech Republic the supervisory authority is: The Office for Personal Data Protection, address: Pplk. Sochora 27, 170 00 Praha 7, Czech Republic.
