Bohemia Recap – April 2025
April was full of showers, sunshine, and activity at Bohemia Interactive.
DayZ offered its first look at update 1.28, while Arma Reforger released even more fixes and optimizations. Meanwhile, Arma 3’s got a new and exciting bundle on Steam, Vigor released its latest season, and there’s brand new merch in the Bohemia Store that’s perfect for Survivors in-game and out.
All of that and more awaits, so let’s dive into the highlights and headlines!
DayZ
April kicked off strong with a classic, elaborate April Fools prank from the DayZ team. This time we created a teaser trailer for DayZ Contact: a playful mashup of DayZ and the much beloved Arma 3 DLC, Arma Contact. It looks suspiciously real, but you get the joke in the end.
Jokes aside, April gave us our first look at 1.28 with our experimental update. This patch aims to refresh DayZ's PvP experience with new scopes, firearms, and weapon lifting mechanics. DayZ Frostline is also receiving significant attention by introducing dynamic events like boat wrecks, medical events, and even geyser eruptions. Finally, April brought the year's first seasonal event: Walpurgis. Based on the traditions of Čarodejnice, the popular bonfire and witch themed loot returned. Sakhal and DayZ Frostline, being set in a different region, featured burning tire piles where players could briefly escape the freezing cold. Read more about it here.
Arma Reforger
It wouldn't be April without some general foolery, and we couldn't resist making a trailer for our brand new (nonexistent) game mode: Reforger Rumble!
Arma Reforger development is pushing ahead. We followed up the monumental 1.3 - Fire Support Update with Minor Update 1.3.0.157 and 1.3.0.144, bringing more fixes and optimizations to the game.
For all of you modders getting your submissions ready for Make Arma Not War 2025, we posted two Modding Boot Camps on Environmental Design and Animation Scripting + Extra Features. We'll be planning a few more Modding Boot Camps for the future, so keep an eye out on our socials or Discord for more information.
If you want to see how the devs play Arma Reforger, you can watch them try (and sometimes fail) the new, single-player Elimination scenario. You can also enjoy Project Lead Klamacz, who sat down with Executive Producer Natasha to attempt to bayonet unsuspecting players on official servers and answer some questions from the community in our latest stream.
Arma 3
We released the Rotators Pack: a new bundle on Steam that offers a discount on both Creator DLCs (Western Sahara and Reaction Forces) by the renowned Rotators Collective.
In our latest Community Profile, we sat down with Horrible Goat to hear more about his history with Arma, his contributions to various Creator DLCs, and his opinions on everything from video games, Arma 3 tips, and goats.
The Arma 3 community shows no signs of slowing down, as highlighted in our latest COMRAD #52, with new mods, community content, and more.

Vigor
The biggest news in April was the release of Vigor's latest update - Meltdown! The new Season comes packed with brand new action-figure mementos you can discover in the Outlands, a new Wardrobe which allows you to save multiple cosmetic presets, a new Cosmetic Crate, and much more.
We had a big Dev Diary Stream before the release where we went through all the changes and additions.
We also announced the sad news that Vigor Meltdown will be the last Season on the Nintendo Switch.
Matchmaking became a hot topic in our community, so we decided to make an informative video explaining the fundamentals of matchmaking in Vigor.
Incubator
SkyVerse was renamed to Everwind, and a new gameplay teaser was released.
Everwind reached over 200K wishlists on Steam.
