Global Mobilization - Upcoming Arma 3 Creator DLC

Next week (April 29th), Bohemia Interactive will publish the first official Arma 3 Creator DLC of their third-party program: Global Mobilization - Cold War Germany.

Having extensive military experience obviously helped a lot in making GM as authentic as possible and what to look out for, and I am quite confident veterans of the cold war era – and others as well – will enjoy the authenticity we are providing. Vertexmacht

Created by passionate developer duo, Vertexmacht, Global Mobilization (GM) provides a bombastic amount of new original content by taking us back to Cold War Germany in the 1980s, where players can fight on an all-new 419 km² terrain (Weferlingen), travel in 42 new vehicles, engage with 21 new weapons, and take advantage of a ton of additional character assets. Experience the DLC through a 10-mission campaign, or choose from 17 scenarios available in both summer and snowy winter conditions.

The developers themselves — Julian Sänger and Lars Transfeld — are a tight-knit team with more than 30 years of combined modding experience, and who have poured thousands of hours into what can only be described as a true labor of love. Drawing from their experience as developers in the game industry, respected members of the Arma community since 2001, and veterans of military service, this project has been tailored specifically to the strengths of Arma 3 and the needs of its awesome community.

The main benefit [of being a Creator DLC] is probably that GM turned into a well-tested and “done” product. Without it being a Creator DLC we would have probably either released a long time ago before it was really completed, or we would have not released at all. Vertexmacht

To celebrate this momentous occasion, we sat down with Vertexmacht to talk about the development of GM, how and why it started, what it involved, and what we can expect from them in the future. To read the full interview, head over to our recent 'Report In! Vertexmacht' article to gather all the intel on the upcoming Creator DLC and the team behind it.
