Last month we partnered up with Humble Bundle to offer yet another great bundle deal on all of the Arma games. Now that this Humble Arma Bundle 2018 has concluded, we're extremely grateful to report that more than 73,000 bundles were sold, which made it possible to raise over USD 250,000 for the American Red Cross.
The far majority of bundles were sold at the highest tier, which included the Arma 3 base game, three Arma 3 DLC packs, and the Arma 3 Apex expansion. That means more than 73,000 potential new players are about to set foot in one of the finest military sandbox games the PC has to offer. Since its original release in 2013, Arma 3 has come a long way with over 80 free platform updates, adding a wide variety of new gameplay features and content to the game. Not to mention the incredible amount of user-created content that is available for free (including 50,000+ Steam Workshop items), such as the official Make Arma Not War winning entry RHS (adds tons of weapons, vehicles, and gear from the US/Russian/other forces, and the original Arma 3 Battle Royale mod which eventually spawned a wave of popular games based on a similar concept.
All in all, now is as good of a time as ever to jump into Arma 3. Better yet, the game is set to receive even more free bonus content this year, as has been reported in the recently published Arma 3 devblog on the development roadmap for 2018. In case you're one of the new players and you're not sure where to begin, we advise you to play the Arma 3 Bootcamp prologue campaign first, run through the VR training courses, and/or join one of the many splendid community groups. Of course, you could also just start playing around in the powerful yet intuitive Scenario Editor. Lastly, there's also a handy Getting Started guide available on the /r/arma subreddit. Ultimately, however, Arma 3 is all about freedom and enjoying the game in whatever way you want.
We'd like to thank everyone for making this great result possible. And have fun playing the game!
