Vigor Season 2: Hunters arrives into Outlands

Hei Outlanders.

Welcome to Vigor 2.0. We’ve decided to streamline the numbering of updates after the recent, Update 1.2.1, became available. It should be clear now what Battle Pass season is in and how far we are into the season - the first is gone and the second has just started. Speaking of the seasons, we decided on a major shift of Battle Pass philosophy based on your feedback. Initially, ultimate rewards of Battle Pass were meant just for the most dedicated Outlanders willing to spend their precious time roaming the encounters and improving their Shelters. While we want to maintain recognition of the best, there are going to be other ways to do so (like for example Charity Box leader boards) and you all should find the second season of Battle Pass significantly less taxing. Added to that, we significantly improved the variety and amount of rewards even in the free Battle Pass tier, making it better for premium owners as well.

Season 2: Hunters

While the season of Preppers is gone, it's not forgotten. Their precious tools are now available as plans in airdrop crates, and the same also goes for the weapon plans for SVD and Gewehr 3 SG1. This isn't true for cosmetics, or at least not at the moment. As we mentioned above, the ultimate rewards are meant as a recognition of dedication and you won't see the top hazmat variants available in the Store. Some of the weapon customizations may possibly appear in the Store even during this season, don't expect them in your crates just yet. You may want to hunt for different rewards meanwhile. And the hunt should start with the season of Hunters, rulers of the wilderness. They’re able to hunt everything, yet they specialize in bringing down human pests with a single well-aimed shot. Clean eliminations provide significantly more XP to Hunter Battle Pass, as does precious loot compared to the standard one.

New Battle Pass, Tools & Weapons

Just as with Preppers, Hunters bring their own flavor of new additions. Possibly the most significant thing is a Crossbow and return of the legendary Mosin Nagant - both these weapons are deadly with a single shot in skilled hands. As the real Hunters don't need any scopes to get their prey, they even ridicule others into thinking there's a poor marksman hidden somewhere around with a Fake Glint tool. And even Outlanders camping hidden in a bush are not safe anymore as Hunters may carry a Portable Signal Detector to hunt others down. Add nice camouflaged weapon customizations to the mix, and don't forget the Hunter uniform covering the whole body. And as a bonus, there is a set of another weapon (nicknamed The John) and headwear option complimenting a first blood hunter.

More Changes

Battle Pass season is not the only addition. As we reworked how the Store looks with Update 1.2.1, we even took a closer look at the offers we have. We decided to make everything you know from the Store easier to obtain and lowered the prices across the board. And there are more Store changes in progress that we’d like to share soon. We also had some time to think more about the shooting, mainly about bullet penetration. While there was a complex system, data showed us that it's not understandable enough. We decided to simplify the penetration rules to make the environment more readable. And having the season of Hunters as a theme helped us to focus to flash out damage over distance for all weapons, improving the bullet energy calculations.

Hunting Updates

There's a ton of other tweaks, changes, and fixes, and we decided to make it easier for you to access them - just push the X button on the title screen to see the whole changelog. This comes hand in hand with our push to release new things more often, even outside of the major updates. You might have noticed that during the Preppers' season, and we’d like to keep the momentum. The team is already finishing work on some juicy additions for Minor Update 2.1, feel free to check the Update Preview program for Vigor Partners and our streams to get more heads-up information on what's in progress. And we’re looking forward to your feedback as always.
