The content licenses are established by Bohemia Interactive a.s. in order to support the creative community evolving around its titles, and to set the clear rules for the use of both Bohemia Interactive's and the user-made content. The licenses cover the publicly available game data of the Arma series and Take On Helicopters and their use by the community for their own works, as it is our best interest to allow the community to build upon our data. Also, every mod maker is encouraged to use these licenses for their own creations or derivatives of the game data provided by Bohemia Interactive a.s.

Using a license

When making content for Arma games, Take On Helicopters, DayZ or modification of DayZ Mod, you are required to use a license in some cases. Please consult the list below to see whether you are obliged to use a license, or which license to choose for your own work.

Remember that you can only choose one license for your work. The best practical solution for attribution is to attach a readme file clearly stating under which license the work is released. You are also allowed to use the license pictograms below as part of your own documentation and promo materials and to embed them to your website — you are encouraged to provide links to the full licenses in the readme files attached to your work.

Bohemia Interactive a.s. released sample files and data from their games for the community, to learn from examples, base their own creations on the existing content and expand the Armaverse. These packs include configuration files, material files, 3d models, textures, animations as well as complete game data in the form of PBOs. The public data is released under Bohemia Interactive's content licenses, established to support the creative community evolving around its titles, and to set clear rules for the use of both Bohemia Interactive's and user-made content.
