A brand-new update is here to help us close out the summer with a bang! This time around, you can expect to decimate your opponents with the new FG 42 machine gun, escape the Encounters with boosted Airdrop rewards, enjoy a new and improved matchmaking system, and much more!
A military-themed season returns!
It's been a while since we had a proper military-inspired season, but the wait is finally over! It's slightly reminiscent of the Battle Pass we had for Chronicles: Vengeance in the sense that the cosmetics have a more tactical feel to them. Seeing as military season is a community fan-favorite, we hope you'll enjoy the cosmetics that come with it.
This time, the Battle Pass includes the special issue FG 42 machine gun! Make sure to use this beast in the Outlands to decimate your opponents.
Buried Cache receives a major rework!
Our team decided to introduce a new mechanic when it comes to the Buried Cache. From this update on, there won't be any Polaroid pictures indicating the location of the cache. Instead, you'll be able to loot a map with a key to the crate! Players can find this map and key in vehicles and cabinets. Once you loot it, a message will prompt you to check your map to see where the Buried Cache is located. Once you find its location, you'll have to unearth it, unlock it (using the map and key you already found), and then you'll get to loot the contents. Mind you, the keys that will appear across any map correspond to the number of players in the said map, so you'll want to be quick to loot the Buried Cache before someone else beats you to it!
Airdrop rewards and chances for Weapon and Consumable Plans get boosted!
With this update, the more players boost the "Better Crate" in the lobby before an Encounter, the more rewards you can get, specifically Crowns and Fireworks! But that's not all. We also heard feedback from our community about the lack of chances of obtaining Weapon and Consumable Plans from Crates, and after some investigation, we decided to raise the chance of these Plans dropping from crates! We hope this way, more players will be able to obtain valuable Weapon and Consumable Plans that will make your life in the Outlands a bit easier.
Grenade-throwing mechanics and Flash Grenade See Improvements!
Our team managed to improve the trajectories and the travel speed for throwables. That means you can throw things longer and faster. And we also managed to tweak the Flash Grenade. Now, players will feel the effects of the Flash Grenade based on distance and not whether they're facing it or not. That means they could still get concussed even if they didn't stare at the grenade.

Weapon and Consumable Plans Added to the General Store!
The Cosmetic Store has been renamed to the General Store, and now there's a section where you can purchase weapon and consumable plans! The Crafting Plans category is split into subcategories (for example, Consumables, Assault Rifles, Riffles, Submachine Guns, etc). You can select your desired category, and all available plans will be sorted by rarity and then alphabetically! The price for each plan will depend on the rarity of the item itself.
